Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff network embarked on a transformative experience during a guided 'Walk on Country' at Tidbinbilla in Canberra. Led by Ngunnawal traditional custodian Tyronne Bell, the outing provided an opportunity to deepen cultural understanding, connect with the land, and gain firsthand insights into the history of the local area.
This week, Prime Minister Albanese welcomed the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi, to Australia as a guest of the Australian Government.

A State Memorial Service for Dr John Olsen AO OBE will take place at 10:30am on Monday, 29 May 2023, at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney.
The service, delivered by the Australian and NSW Governments, provides an opportunity to honour the legendary landscape painter who had long been considered one of Australia’s most eminent and celebrated artists.
The Memorial will be held in Meers Hall, located in the new North Building of the gallery. Doors will open at 9:30am with guests asked to be seated by no later than 10:15am.
How the care and support economy (which commonly encompasses aged care, veterans care, disability care and early childhood) grows and develops is vital to the wellbeing of the Australian community and health of our economy.
The care and support sectors are a major and growing source of economic activity and employment, and they attract significant government expenditure. Most importantly, they provide essential services to Australians, including some of our most vulnerable community members.
On 20 May, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese met with Quad Leaders Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of India, Prime Minister Kishida Fumio of Japan, and President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. of the United States, in Hiroshima for the 2023 Quad Leaders' Summit.
The Quad is a diplomatic partnership of four countries committed to promoting stability, resilience and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific. Australia, India, Japan and the United States share a vision for a region that is governed by accepted rules and norms, where all countries can cooperate, trade and thrive.
On 19th May, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese arrived in Hiroshima, Japan to attend the 2023 G7 Summit as an outreach partner, at the invitation of His Excellency Mr Kishida Fumio, the Prime Minister of Japan.

The recent release of the “Open RAN Security Report” concludes that the use of Open Radio Access Networks (Open RAN) does not fundamentally alter the security risk landscape for telecommunications, compared to more traditional RAN. Most security threats analyzed in the report affect both traditional network deployments and Open RAN deployments, with only four percent found to be unique to Open RAN.
