Our Corporate Plan sets out our agenda to help deliver on our mission – to improve the lives of all Australians through high quality advice and support to the Government.
The Corporate Plan outlines our role, purpose and key activities against which we will measure our performance the next four years to provide support to the Prime Minister, the Cabinet, portfolio ministers and Assistant Ministers to improve the lives of all Australians, including through coordination of government activities, effective policy advice and development, and program delivery.

It has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of section 46 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act), the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule) and the Department of Finance Resource Management Guide No 135. The compliance index in Part 5 lists the information required by the PGPA Act and PGPA Rule and the corresponding page number within this report.
National Review of Quarantine
Executive Summary
In January 2020, as early stories began to emerge of a new and worrying coronavirus circulating in China, ‘quarantine’ was a term largely from the history books. Some Australians had heard of the ‘Spanish’ flu and knew of the quarantine stations used to isolate arrivals over 100 years ago. Most Australians had no or very limited awareness of modern uses for quarantine other than for animals.

Social Impact Investing Taskforce
The Social Impact Investing (SII) Taskforce, chaired by Mr Michael Traill AM, was established in 2019 to develop a strategy for the Australian Government’s role in the Social Impact Investing market.
In November 2020, the Taskforce submitted its Final Report of the Australian Social Impact Investing Taskforce (the Final Report). In 2022, the Prime Minister, the Hon Anthony Albanese MP, asked the Taskforce’s Expert Panel to review, update and resubmit the Final Report. The Expert Panel submitted their updated Impact Investing Taskforce Expert Panel Update and Review of Final Report (the Update) in December 2022.
