FOI disclosure logs

Our freedom of information (FOI) disclosure log provides access to information released in response to a request for an FOI access to documents.

PM&C publishes information released under section 11A of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act). Information on how to make a FOI request is available.

The disclosure log requirement does not apply to:

  • personal information about any person if publication of that information would be ‘unreasonable’
  • information about the business, commercial, financial or professional affairs of any person if publication of that information would be ‘unreasonable’
  • other information covered by a determination made by the Australian Information Commissioner if publication of that information would be ‘unreasonable’
  • any information if it is not reasonably practicable to publish the information because of the extent of modifications that would need to be made to delete the information listed in the above dot points.

Deletions have been made to the documents in accordance with the exemptions available under the FOI Act.

Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal (HOSM) regulations promulgated 09 Jun 1999 state the secretary may delegate, in writing, to a senior executive public service officer in the department, the power under sub regulation 4 (4), to treat a period of service as eligible service and the power under regulation 5 to recommend the award of the medal. A delegation under this regulation is revocable and continues in force until expressly revoked.

I request under FOI legislation the documents delegating decision making authority regarding the HOSM to the following SES public service officers;
