On Tuesday 12 May 2026, the Treasurer, the Hon Jim Chalmers MP, delivered the 2026–27 Federal Budget.
The 2026-27 Budget includes funding for the department to enhance our delivery of the government’s priorities, the Prime Minister’s international engagements, the Fuel Supply Taskforce and oversight of the implementation of AUKUS.
This Budget builds on significant reform and investments for women and recognises that a gender-equal Australia is a better Australia that delivers for everyone.
Gender analysis informed the policy development process for this Budget, to help the government make decisions that support gender equality.
