The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) is pleased to share the PM&C Capability Review Action Plan.
The action plan outlines how we will strengthen our capability as we continue to support the Prime Minister, the Cabinet and portfolio ministers to improve the lives of all Australians.
PM&C is at the centre of the public service. This role is a privilege and we must continually learn, adapt and strengthen our capabilities so we can meet future challenges.
The review reaffirmed our core strengths—our committed people, expertise and trusted relationships. These attributes remain the foundation of our success and the basis upon which we will continue to build. The review challenged us to sharpen our leadership and governance, sequence strategy and priorities, and improve our internal and external collaboration.
The action plan outlines where we will focus our efforts over the next 4 years:
- empowering our workforce
- delivering through collaboration
- strengthening how we operate
By consolidating these foundations, PM&C will lead with greater clarity, courage and impact.
The department will report on implementation of the action plan in its annual report.
