The Public Service Medal (PSM) recognises excellence across the APS. It is awarded twice a year by the Governor‑General as part of the Australia Day Honours List and The King’s Birthday Honours List.
All APS employees can be nominated, regardless of their level or location. The PSM recognises outstanding service in areas such as service delivery, innovation, leadership and improvements to productivity or processes.
