The Office for Women recently hosted the annual National Women’s Alliances Forum, bringing together representatives from the 5 National Women’s Alliances to discuss key issues affecting women across Australia.

The forum provided an opportunity for the alliances to share their expertise, evidence and community insights on current policy priorities, including the next phase of work under the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032, employment services reform, and the future of work and caring.

The National Women’s Alliances play an important role in bringing the voices and diverse experiences of women into national policy discussions. Their advice supports the Australian Government’s work to advance gender equality under Working for Women: A Strategy for Gender Equality.
