The Australian Government honours all those impacted by the Bondi Beach attack on 14 December 2025, including the families and friends of those who lost their lives and those injured.

A National Day of Reflection will be held on Sunday 21 December, the final full day of Chanukah.

On this day, we stand united with Jewish Australians and remember those who lost their lives and who were impacted by this event.

Australians are invited to light a candle at 6:47 pm and observe a minute of silence as an act of remembrance with family, friends and loved ones. This is a moment to pause, reflect and stand with our Jewish community to share in their grief and affirm that hatred and violence will not define us.

Flags on Australian and NSW Government buildings will be flown at half-mast as a mark of respect for the lives lost and the grief shared across the country.

Our thoughts are with the families and friends mourning their loved ones.

A condolence book is available in the Marble Foyer at Parliament House for members of the public to share their thoughts and messages of support for those affected. Condolence messages can also be shared online through the Bondi Beach condolence book.
