On 22 March 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General, announced the Australian Bravery Decorations.
A list of the recipients is available on the Governor‑General’s website, and recipients who have agreed to be identified can be searched through the Australian Honours database.
Decorations awarded
Bravery Medal: 11 for acts of bravery in hazardous circumstances.
Commendation for Brave Conduct: 22 for acts of bravery which are considered worthy of recognition.
Group Bravery Citation: 6 groups (34 people) for a collective act of bravery by a group of persons in extraordinary circumstances that are considered worthy of recognition.
