The Australian Bravery Decorations recognise acts of bravery where people selflessly put themselves in jeopardy to protect the lives or property of others.

A list of the recipients is available on the Governor-General’s website and recipients who have agreed to be identified can be searched through the Australian Honours database.

Decorations awarded include:

Bravery Medal: 8 for acts of bravery in hazardous circumstances.

Commendation for Brave Conduct: 38 for acts of bravery which are considered worthy of recognition.

Group Bravery Citation: 4 groups (45 people) for a collective act of bravery by a group of persons in extraordinary circumstances that are considered worthy of recognition.

Congratulations to all recipients of the Australian Bravery Decorations.
