For anyone unfamiliar with OGP, it’s an international initiative about making governments more open and transparent and improving government decision making across the world. Launched in 2011, the initiative now has membership from over 70 countries, including Australia signing on to the Partnership in 2015, and since having delivered two National Action Plans.

Together, these two plans deliver 23 reform commitments that are intended to enhance transparency, accountability and public engagement across the Australian Government. The wide range of themes include: combatting corporate crime; improving the accessibility of government-held information; and enhancing public participation in decision making.
