National Women's Alliances

The Hon Michaelia Cash, Minister for Women has asked the Office for Women to run a funding round to provide an opportunity for the five existing National Women’s Alliances and to establish a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) National Women’s Alliance.

The Office for Women funds the National Women’s Alliances to ensure women’s issues and a diversity of women’s voices are represented in Australian Government decision-making and policy outcomes. The successful Alliances will have national reach and a broad and diverse membership base, be representative and inclusive of the needs of the communities and intersectional complexities of the women they seek to represent (including women with disabilities and LGBTI women), and collaborate with the other Alliances to ensure the needs of all women are considered.

Further information about the grant round, including application kits, can be found on GrantConnect until mid-April 2017.  Enquiries can be directed to the Office for Women at
