Australians are being encouraged to nominate those people, professionals and volunteers, who have displayed extraordinary service and achievement during the COVID-19 response and recovery, for an Australian honour.
On 24 January 2021, Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced from The Queen’s Birthday 2021 there will be a dedicated COVID-19 honour roll which will recognise the contributions, service and achievements of individuals related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The pandemic has challenged our nation in a way we have not seen since World War Two, yet we have seen the best of Australia as we have come together, helping one another to keep us safe,” the Prime Minister said.
“If you know someone who has made an outstanding contribution, on the front-line or behind the scenes, I urge you to consider nominating them for an award.”
The Order of Australia relies on nominations from the community to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Australians. Anyone can nominate someone for the Order of Australia at any time.
If you know someone who has contributed extraordinarily, nominate them today for an Order of Australia.
