Indigenous Cadetship Support

IMPORTANT: Indigenous Cadetship Support changes from 1 January 2018

To support streamlined access to cadetship opportunities, on 1 January 2018 the Indigenous Cadetship Support (ICS) Programme ceased in its current form and is no longer available.

Employers looking to support and employ cadets will now be able to apply for Cadetship funding through the Tailored Assistance Employment Grant (TAEG) process.

Students looking to find cadetship opportunities should note that employers will advertise cadetship opportunities through their own recruitment channels. We would recommend that the first step in looking for a cadetship should be to get in touch with the Indigenous Centre at your University.

The Department will continue to honour its funding obligations for all current ICS agreements.
