Privacy notice

The Commonwealth Government COVID-19 Response Inquiry (the Inquiry) is collecting your personal information, namely your email address and, where provided, your name, state, postcode and organisation, to send news, updates and information about consultation.

For the same purpose, we may provide this information to an outsourced third party service provider. In particular we will provide your personal information to our third party email provider, Campaign Monitor, so that we can communicate with you for the purposes of providing Inquiry updates. Personal information held by Campaign Monitor is handled in accordance with Campaign Monitor's Privacy Policy.

Providing the requested information is voluntary. If you choose not to provide us with your email address we will not be able to provide you with Inquiry updates.

The Inquiry will not provide the information collected from you to anyone other than to Campaign Monitor, unless you have given consent for us to do this, or we are otherwise required or permitted to do so by law.

The Department's Privacy Policy explains how the Department handles and protects the information provided by you. Our Privacy Policy also explains how you can request access to or correct the personal information we hold about you, and who to contact if you have a privacy enquiry or complaint.
