Cyber Resilience Taskforce

In his June 2017 National Security Statement, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull announced the creation of a Cyber Resilience Taskforce to drive fast action on Australia’s capability and response to cyber security and cybercrime threats and incidents. Led by the Office of the Cyber Security Special Adviser, the Taskforce will build on Australia’s Cyber Security Strategy and engage broadly with the private sector, as well as Commonwealth, state and territory government agencies to bring forward the new ideas needed to build national cyber security capacity and capability.

While the primary focus of the Taskforce is on ensuring Australia responds effectively to cyber security threats and incidents, it also presents an opportunity to explore related areas around communications, governance and partnerships across government and industry to present a multidimensional national cyber resilience model.
