FOI disclosure logs

Our freedom of information (FOI) disclosure log provides access to information released in response to a request for an FOI access to documents.

PM&C publishes information released under section 11A of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act). Information on how to make a FOI request is available.

The disclosure log requirement does not apply to:

  • personal information about any person if publication of that information would be ‘unreasonable’
  • information about the business, commercial, financial or professional affairs of any person if publication of that information would be ‘unreasonable’
  • other information covered by a determination made by the Australian Information Commissioner if publication of that information would be ‘unreasonable’
  • any information if it is not reasonably practicable to publish the information because of the extent of modifications that would need to be made to delete the information listed in the above dot points.

Deletions have been made to the documents in accordance with the exemptions available under the FOI Act.

FOI request

I write seeking access to documents under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act.

I am seeking correspondence about the date of Australia Day received between September 7 2013 and January 18 2018 (inclusive).

Specifically I am seeking:

  1. Any communications to the Indigenous Affairs Minister, Nigel Scullion, about and/or relating to and/or mentioning and/or discussing and/or proposing and/or advocating changing the date of Australia Day.
  2. Any communications to the Indigenous Affairs Minister, Nigel Scullion, indicating concern and/or unease and/or disquiet about Australia Day being held and/or celebrated on January the 26th.

By communications, I mean all correspondence to the Minister, including, but not limited to, letters and/or emails and/or text messages via government and/or personal communication channels.
