Expressing your interest does not guarantee you will be able to cover the visit.
Media outlets must ensure that all staff who wish to cover the state visit express their interest using the expression of interest form.
Due to space limitations, positions at events may be limited and pooling will be required.
Positions will only be available to those working for bona fide media outlets. Australian and international wire agencies will be represented to ensure photos and vision can be shared or purchased.
Security screening will occur at all events.
Expressions of interest open 6 pm AEDT Friday 30 January 2026 and will close at 11:59 pm AEDT Sunday 15 February 2026.
We will notify you of the outcome of your expression of interest after registrations close, and more information will be provided to registered media.
