Joint Venture Transition Model Clauses

 

The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) was established on 1 July 2019. Prior to this the functions of the Agency were delivered by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C). These additional model clauses are to support transition arrangement for incorporated Indigenous Joint Ventures who require additional time to meet the new IPP requirements. These model clauses cover approach to market processes and contract clauses. From 1 January 2019, to have their contracts recognised under the IPP, incorporated Indigenous joint ventures must register with Supply Nation and be at least 50% Indigenous owned and demonstrate 50% Indigenous control of the joint venture. Transitional arrangements will cease 30 June 2019.
