The 2018 NAIDOC funding round is now open, providing funding to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous legal entities to support the costs of local and regional NAIDOC activities across Australia.

This year’s NAIDOC Week theme ‘Because of her, we can!’ celebrates the important contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have made and continue to make to our nation and grant applicants are encouraged to incorporate the theme with their project.

In 2018 the Australian Government has committed $1.4 million in funding for NAIDOC activities through the Indigenous Advancement Strategy. Last year, over 550 received funding.

NAIDOC Week will be held from 8-15 July 2018 and provides an opportunity for all Australians to gather and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, history and achievements. The grants enable communities to host their own events, for example cultural showcases, sporting events, family fun days and activities.

Details for the 2018 NAIDOC Grant funding, including the application kit, is available at NAIDOC Week Funding.

Applications close 3 April 2018 at 5pm (AEST).
