Smart Cities and Suburbs Program. Round One Projects.

A wide range of innovative technology projects will be funded under the first round of the Smart Cities and Suburbs Program, including urban transport improvements, sensor technology networks to collect data and 3D modelling for improved urban planning.

The Assistant Minister for Cities and Digital Transformation Angus Taylor unveiled all 52 projects successful in receiving Australian Government funding through Round One, totalling $28.5 million and covering all states and territories.

The successful projects will be co-funded by partners including local government, industry, research organisations and the private sector. This significant investment equates to almost $40 million.
