Religious freedom already infringes on the rights of multiple other groups. Freedoms should not be expanded, but in some instances, should be reduced to be in balance with other freedoms.

For example, the freedom of confession has exacerbated child abuse, which is clear from the previous royal commission.

In addition, during the postal survey for same sex marriage, there was discussion of including the freedom for private companies to discriminate service to lgbt people. They should not be able to do so in any capacity. The only capacity they should be able to make this distinction with is the literal sanctification of a marriage by a priest. Any non religious celebrant, individual or company should not have any other right to discriminate.

This would endorse widespread persecution and should not be permitted.
